Management
While the roles of manager and director are not necessarily mutually exclusive at Smith and Associates Incorporated, as the directors are also involved with the management of staff. There are two managers that support the directors in taking their procedures and playing the crucial role of implementing this strategic vision.
Lolita Schoeman
Lolita was born and raised in Paarl, and matriculated at Paarl Gimnasium High School in 2007. After which she completed her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Stellenbosch, graduating in 2010. She continued to study whilst completing her articles and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences in 2012 at the University of South Africa.
While she has held various positions within her scope of qualifications, she started her position as Audit Manager at Smith and Assosiate Inc. at the beginning of 2016. During the year she also registered as an Associate General Accountant (AGA(SA)).
Her duties consist of but are not limited to reviewing audits, compilations and accounting work, handling tax and client inquiries, reviewing monthly submissions of EMP and VAT. She plays a key role in the training and development of the junior accounting and audit staff.
Earl Khan
Earl matriculated at Parow High in 2002. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and obtained the degrees B Accounting at the University of Stellenbosch and Hons B Compt at the UNISA. He completed his articles at LDP Incorporated in 2014.
In January 2015, he was appointed Audit Manager to Henry Smith at Smith & Assosiate Inc. where his main responsibilities are the management and training of our trainee accountants in both the accounting and auditing departments.
